This is a picture of me and my husband Chris. It was taken at my sister's wedding at the Crystal Ballroom. We don't get a lot of opportunities to go out dancing now that Jack is here... Then again, we never really went dancing in the first place. To be honest, I'm pretty sure I had to beg him to get out on the dance floor that day.

The hardest thing about having a baby at home now, is redefining my relationship with my husband. In some ways nothing is differnt... But in other way's we have such a larger focus. Our focus can no longer just be us... Our we is so much bigger now. However, you still have to have that "you and me" element so as to not go insane. We try to carve out time, but it doesn't always happen.

It is the little things you miss... Snuggling on the couch, going to the movies at the spur of the moment, making out. Of course it has only been 2 months, so we have plenty of time to define and redefine our lives. Really, the rest of our lives.

2 Months!
So this is my first entry. I am keeping this blog for my family, and for my son... A kind of on-line journal to help me remember my life, and his. It is Saurday, April 8th. Two days since Jack's 2 month birthday (this is his birthday photo... Pretty bright eyed considering he got 3 shots that day). I can't believe how big he is. We went to the doctor on Thursday, and found out that Jack had grown 4 inches in two months, and gained close to 5 pounds. He went from being in the 35% in all areas (length, weight, head), to being in the 74%. No wonder he is eating so much.

I have a hard time grasphing how fast the weeks are passing. It seems like and eternity a go that I was pregnant... And now I have this sweet little man in my life. I can't even put into words the love I have for him. Our life is perfect right now. By perfect I mean that I am so tired I can hardly walk, my house is falling apart, Chris and I barely have time to snuggle on the couch, and I think the dog feels unloved. You know... Perfect!

I think the hardest part of being a mother, is getting used to the title. Chris says it all the time... "Thank you for being such a good mother." Everytime it sounds odd, but I am getting used to it.
