The gratuitous bath/naked baby shot. You have to have a few of them, if for nothing more than to torment your child when he is older.

So another update from the Kiesel household. It has been a pretty long and uneventful month. Jack just turned 10 months old a few days ago, and is growing like a weed. Sometimes I don't even realize it. People are always commenting that he is big, and we have noticed that when we go out to eat they always bring him crayons as if he should want to color (when what he will end up doing is eating them). But I didn't realize just how big he was until Monday. We went to get a family portrait, and when I looked at it, I almost gasped. The boy looks like a two year old. He is tall, and his face is beginning to thin out and get character. He is going to be huge, and finally create a tall Bell relative.

On the same note, Jack is learning things left and right. I am amazed at how quickly he picks up stuff, and mimics us. If you ask him to dance, he'll shake his head, and bob side to side. He waves bye-bye, and if you say "Rock and Roll" he raises his hands high above his head (Chris's doing). When you talk, he watches your mouth very carefully and tries to mimic you sounds. He is picking up so much, and we are on warning to start watching what we say and do around him... Lest he pick up some of our not so wholesome habits as well.

Obviously our first Christmas is just around the corner. I am, personally, very excited for it. I am looking forward to starting some new traditions, and continuing some old ones as well. Plus, shopping takes on a whole new level of fun this year. TOYS!!! We are taking advantage of one last year without silly wrapping paper however, and using a silver art deco looking stuff. Very posh. All the better for Jack and Lucy to eat.

Hope this finds you all in a good holiday mood...Keep you eye out for our Christmas card!!!
